Sailor Pluto first appears in Volume 6, Act 18 of the Sailormoon manga as the guardian of time, when Chibi-Usa opens the passage of time and brings all the senshi and tuxedo kamen with her. Sailor Pluto, seeing the trespassers, attacks Sailor Moon before Chibi-Usa jumps in the way to stop her. After a brief conversation between the senshi and Chibi-Usa, Sailor Pluto allows the senshi to travel to the future, and eventually joins up with them to help them save Chibi-Usa.

Sailor Pluto dies in Volume 7, Act 23 when she stops time to save Chibi-Usa. There is more on this and Pluto's relationship with Chibi-Usa in Chibibuni's article, Puu.

Sailor Pluto is probably the most solitary of all the senshi. Her duty as time guardian restricts her from seeing those who she loves most, although Queen Serenity, King Endymion, and Chibi-Usa are her most frequent visitors. On a personal basis, she is very quiet in her thoughts. She does not share them frequently, probably because of a great deal of her time is spent alone.

She is also very powerful. Being able to control time is a plus, but also her calmness and reliability in battle makes her one of the better senshi. Using her talisman, the garnet rod, she is able to make an attack called "Dead Scream", in which she ironically whispers the words and a bolt of energy goes from the garnet orb to the unsuspecting target.

Physically and emotionally strong, beautiful, and mysterious, there is no reason why I wouldn't love Sailor Pluto. Being somewhat mysterious and solitary myself, Sailor Pluto will always be at the top of my list when it comes to any anime or manga character.
